4/5/6 Learning Communities have fully thrown themselves into their plant projects. It has been absolutely amazing to see future innovators and inventors designing and then implementing all manner of ways to change their plant growth! There are structures that have been built to create square pumpkins, tomatoes turning blue, vines being trained into bizarre shapes, strawberries into perfect triangles, long tomatoes….
Every day students have been in the hothouse and garden at recess and lunchtime, during Garden club as well as their garden class time caring for and observing their plants.
1/2/3 Learning Communities have seen a HUGE amount of growth in their mystery plants in the past 2 weeks! Measuring, drawing, photographing, re-potting, noting the weather changes, watering habits and changes in their plant are helping to try and write hypotheses and predictions of what plant they might be growing. It is so exciting to see the students taking ownership of the process and loving what they are learning along the way.
